About Us
Lakes Wills Ltd offers a professional and compassionate willwriting and Lasting Powers of Attorney service centred around the Kendal and Lancaster area, though we do work further afield in Preston, Barrow, Carlisle and the Lake District too. We aim to write Wills that meet our clients’ wishes when they are eventually needed, through as simple and easy a process as possible.

Lakes Wills Ltd is a fully-insured member of the Institute of Professional Willwriters and complies with the IPW code of practice.

Confidentiality
Lakes Wills Ltd will never disclose your personal data, nor indeed that you are a client of ours, to third parties except for purposes essential to your case, or where we are required to by legal or regulatory authorities. In some cases we may seek advice from a third party (e.g. a specialist solicitor or financial adviser) to assist with your case, however we will not disclose any facts that could identify you.

We will never contact people whose details you give to us for your Will or Lasting Power of Attorney except for purposes essential to your case, and always with your permission.

Social responsibility
Lakes Wills Ltd representatives will never ‘cold-call’ you to solicit for work or ask for money, either by telephone, email, or at your home. If you do receive such a ‘cold-call’ purporting to be from us, we strongly advise that you do not engage with the caller and that you inform the relevant authorities. Never give money to anybody claiming to represent Lakes Wills Ltd unless you are completely comfortable with the reasons for the payment, and you are certain of that person’s authenticity. If in doubt, please call us on 015395 87757 before handing over money.

Lakes Wills Ltd will never ask for money upfront before meeting with you or starting work, and nor do we work with clients solely over the telephone or email (i.e. meetings are always in person or via a video call. Your representative will be pleased to verify their identity if requested).

Lakes Wills Ltd representatives will never meet in-person with clients while testing positive for COVID-19. At all in-person meetings we will carry face coverings and hand sanitiser, and will be happy to use either or both at your request.

Lakes Wills Ltd carries out leaflet marketing around the North West. During such work our representatives will regularly wash/sanitise hands, and will aim to avoid properties where it is clearly signed that the occupiers do not want unaddressed mail or are suffering from ill-health. Our representatives will not carry out leaflet marketing while testing positive for COVID-19.
